Synopsis: “Priest,” a western-fused post-apocalyptic thriller, is set in an alternate world — one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

  1. The movie was a good movie. I felt as if it was rushed, due to the fact in wasn't 90 minutes long. Due to the length there was a lot of back story left out that would have made this into a great movie. You know they could have added a few more flashbacks on how Black Hat knew to kidnap Lucy, or more back story between Priest and Black Hat. It was quite the bummer that they left so much to be assumed by the person watching. I didn't feel it was worth paying full price for a short movie, and when I asked for a discount they told me to leave, so I waited until it came out on DVD to see the movie, glad I waited to rent it, that is for sure. Working at DISH I had come across a promotion for blockbuster for all DISH subscribers to get 3 months free of the mail service with in store exchange, so naturally I signed up for the three free months, but I have been actually astonished at how good the service has been.
