Los Angeles Times is reporting that “the MPAA has altered the rating on the Ryan Gosling-Michelle Williams romantic drama “Blue Valentine” from NC-17 to R. The controversial sex scene that initially landed the film an NC-17 rating will not be changed. The decision — which comes after distributor the Weinstein Co. appealed the ruling — means the movie could be released to a broader array of movie theaters.”
